What’s the story behind
our Water?
Allegheny Products' source spring was discovered by
REIC, an environmental laboratory, that analyzes literally tens of thousands of drinking water sources all over the United States in its normal course of business.
REIC scientists discovered that one particular spring in Monroe County, West Virginia, was by far superior to all others: both for its purity and for the perfect blend of trace minerals that gives the water a remarkably pleasant taste.
As one chemist put it, "If you could build the perfect water molecule by molecule, this is what you would get."
REIC's owners, realizing the value of what they had found, created a company to bottle this perfect water for everyone to enjoy.
What is “natural spring water”?
By law, a product labeled "natural spring water" has to come from a source that is free-flowing to the surface– not pumped out of the ground. Allegheny Products bottles a true natural spring water, gently drawn from the upper part of the aquifer, where the water is the purest and sweetest.
What about the gold medal?
Allegheny Products' water has triumphed in international tasting competition against waters from Europe, Canada, and throughout the United States, including Hawaii.
Our water has won the coveted Berkeley Springs International Gold Medal four times. In the history of the competition, no other water has won more often.
How pure is our Water?
Allegheny Products' water has trace amounts of calcium (about 15 ppm) and magnesium (about 1 ppm) and that’s it! No sodium, zinc, iron, arsenic, potassium, alum, sulphur, etc.
Our water is ozonated twice, once at the source and once as it is bottled, to completely kill all micro-organisms. It also goes through a one micron filter at the source and a two-stage one micron/one micron absolute filtration process right before it is bottled.
